Turkey Burgers
1 lb.lean ground turkey meat
1 medium red onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup fresh basil,parsley minced (or whatever fresh herbs you like basil and parsley are my fav.)
1/2 cup oats
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 egg
cheese (optional)
*TIP Add in 2 tbs of olive oil to meat mixture to keep them moist!
I sometimes add spicy brown mustard, organic salsa, spinach, sweet potato(instead of oats), greek seasoning the possibilities are endless!
Mix ingredients together and form 4-6 patties. Grill on medium heat for 7 minutes a side. 2 minutes before burgers are done, place a slice of cheese (optional) on each patty. Serve hot.
